The Minnesota State High School League announced today that three finalists have been selected for the Executive Director position. The three finalists, in alphabetical order, that will be interviewed today (11/13/17):
- Mindy Chevalier --- Currently the Community Education Director/Assistant Principal at Belle Plaine High School.
- Erich Martens --- Currently the Principal at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.
- Troy Urdahl --- Currently the Activities and Facilities Director at St. Anthony Village High School.
The Selection Committee announced that all three finalists have extensive experience with the Minnesota State High School League and high school activities. The Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the League’s Board of Directors for consideration at its meeting on Nov. 30.
The selected finalist will take over for longtime MSHSL Executive Director Dave Stead, who announced in August that he will transition to a senior administrative role. Stead is the longest-serving Executive Director in the League’s 101-year history. Stead was hired as an Associate Director in 1986, and two years later, was promoted to the Executive Director position.
The starting date for the selected finalist is to be determined.
