Minnesota State High School League, 45TV announce extension of broadcast partnership

Brooklyn Center, Minn, --- The Minnesota State High School League announced today the extension of its television broadcast partnership with 45TV through the 2029-2030 school year. The deal extends the broadcast partnership that began in 2004.

“I cannot imagine having the support of a better television partner than 45TV,” MSHSL Executive Director Dave Stead said. “They have made a personal broadcast commitment to the MSHSL to ensure that viewers worldwide are able to watch the excitement of our MSHSL state tournaments.”

45TV, a Twin Cities-based independent station owned by Hubbard Broadcasting, televises five Minnesota State High School League state tournament events: Prep Bowl, girls hockey, boys hockey, girls basketball and boys basketball. 45TV also streams state tournament events on its website at www.prep45.com .

“The Minnesota State High School League and 45TV have built a tremendous partnership serving fans of high school sports with quality game coverage, along with sharing the amazing stories of athletes, coaches and the communities who support those teams,” 45TV Station Manager Susan Wenz said. “We are honored to continue serving as the exclusive broadcast partner of the MSHSL well into the foreseeable future, solidifying our position as the market s prep sports broadcast leader.”

The Minnesota State High School League is in its 101st year of service to its 525 member schools.

“The staff at 45TV is incredibly talented, and they have captured and shared some of the best high school tournament highlights in the country,” Stead said. “This long-term agreement provides solid revenue for the League and continues the promotion of League-initiated programs such as “Why We Play,” “Anyone Can Save A Life,” and the Values of Participation in High School Activities.”
